How are my desserts packed and shipped?

Every item on Harlem Baking Company is handmade, packed, and shipped specific to that item’s needs to ensure our desserts arrive fresh and delicious at your door.

How can I return my glass jars?

For every 5 empty HBCo jars you return to us, get one jar of happiness of your choosing for FREE! Drop them off at our physical location inside FrenchyCoffee 129E 102nd St., New York, NY 10029 or

Where does my order ship from?

All Harlem Baking Company products are handmade in small batches by our team in New York City and ship nationwide throughout the United States.

Because freshness is at the heart of everything we do, we don’t mass-produce items to sit in a warehouse. Instead, we craft each dessert fresh, flash-freeze it to lock in peak flavor, and ship it shortly thereafter based on your order. This approach ensures that every jar you receive arrives as fresh and delicious as the day it was made.

How far in advance should I place my order and schedule for delivery?

Delivery may vary based on unforseen events such as weather or holidays. This information can all be found at checkout, after you enter your shipping address. 

Do I have to be home to sign for the package when it's delivered?

We don't require a signature for delivery on most of our packages. That said, we do recommend opening your package soon after delivery to properly store any items that require refrigeration. Harlem Baking Co. is not responsible for packages reported damaged due to a delay in opening and/or not properly storing the package’s contents upon delivery. 

If your order is delivering to an office or communal living space, carriers may deliver the package to your front desk or mailroom. If the driver feels it is safe to leave the package, then they will do so. We are not responsible for missed deliveries, sometimes resulting in a damaged product because no one was home and the driver felt it was unsafe to leave it.

I need my package delivered by a specific time, how can I arrange this?

Once your package is in the shipping carrier's hands we have no control over the time they will deliver it. But, the good news is that FedEx gives you the ability to schedule your delivery times for all of your residential packages.

If you know that you are not going to be home and are worried about them not leaving your package at your door, we strongly encourage you to schedule your delivery window directly with FedEx or UPS. Their Delivery Manager platforms are flexible and allow you to schedule the delivery of your package within a short time-frame to ensure you will never miss a package at your home again. Can I ship to a PO Box Or APO / Military location, or are there delivery restrictions?

Unfortunately we're not able to ship to P.O. or APO boxes at this time, due to the perishable nature of our products.
